just a question. the reaper was designed for hit and run tactics. it does not have the firepower to duel it out against heavily armored units. it's more for just attacking SCVs drones make them waste some money to make more workers and then retreat. the grenades obviously would be a threat to seige tanks and phase cannons etc.

my question is how would you use the reapers in a battle? replacing your marines, hit and run, scouting?

oo one more thing, would reapers be considered air units when they are using their jet packs?

we know that the protoss now have the mothership, terrans thor. what do you think is going to be the zerg's massive damage unit? i was thinking of something like a new class for lurkers. very powerful upground but even more deadly underground.

In addition to hit-run strikes against min line, use them in conjunction with tanks. If stalkers(or immortals that try to threaten your tanks) try to run, use mines to cut off retreat paths(hopefully within range of its blink), etc.

I'm sure once you get a feel for the game, you'll come up with your own ideas.

I would probably go with backdooring while a more fitting force is distracting your real army. You can also take advantage of thier ability to traverse over any terrian at high speeds.

I'd probably attack with reapers, and let the enemy pursue them, then use either artillery against them, or just heavy units that would've been murdered going to the enemy.

A strat I wanna try is using the bunker technique (use bunkers+supply depot in front+seige tanks in back) and send a few rogue reapers to prevent expansion and destroy the scvs and ccenter of the enemy when given a chance and force your opponent to attack with what they allready had made. hopefully ur defense will hold, or they'll drop by then.

As a defensive unit, you can use Reapers to fly in, throw mines, then fly them out. Or keep them on decent, unaccessible to melee ground and allow them to use thier daul pistols against weaker units like Zerglings or Zealots.

As for the Zerg, I am thinking either a super Queen, or a devastating ground unit.

Lockdown+Grenades is gonna be awesome.

Didnt Blizzard post a peice of artwork of a zerg unit that had the head and arms of a protoss and the body of a lurker? Some of the new zerg units could be the hybrids that Brood War kept mentioning.

I think the Ghost still retains that power. I dont think it mentioned it in the unit specs.
