Yup. The beta client is of no further use and can be safely uninstalled. In fact, it's recommended that you uninstall it before install the retail release.

Yes, you probably should uninstall it- I don't own the full version personally, but one of my friends did have a bit of trouble with the new client because he forgot to remove the beta version.
