STARCRAFT 2 NO LAN

its like the title says Starcraft 2 has no lan capabilities. the only multi-player option it has is battlenet which is apparently going to get good fast.
What are you views and feelings about this news should we make a partition?

a new Battle.net feature will act as LAN support, details of which are unknown at this time.

you can think what ever i just quoted off of wiki.
What i believe is that there will be a LAN option. it will however require you to be on Battle.net. Like LAN with counter strike or team fortress 2 requires you to be on steam.

I believe I read somewhere that "100.000 nerds" signed a petition against no-LAN, so I guess there is still hope that Blizzard will change their minds.

I just hope they change their mind before the game is released.
Because I'm not really that good and I don't wanna get pwned by online people.

Yeah, that's why they keep delaying games because fans are demanding more stuff to be added. Just look at all those q&a sessions they have with fansites. If there's one company that listens, it's Blizzard. Now where did I put that Elemental TD map for War3?

Majority of LAN players are pirates who use Hamachi or Garena. Most people these days have Internet. I do however like the idea of battle.net LAN. It seems like a good idea for people (with internet connections) to LEGITIMATELY play with as little lag as possible.
