1. mutas come too quickly to make a difference.(i.e. before valks are built)
2. they get owned by pure scourge or muta/scourge.
3. valks are uber expensive.
4. they require alot of tech buildings.(port, add-on, armory)
5. they lose to pretty much every air unit except mutas,wraiths, and scouts.(maybe devs, but that's debateable)
6. In UMS games, then valks will pwn mutas.

The most used is the corsair. Not the only one, though. Devourer is good sometimes (refer to the other thread). As for Valks, meh...

assumeing the battle is near ground Gols with boosters are great antiair.

DA's can do AA to >=3 why destroy it if you can control it? you just need like 100 DA with mad micro and your set. ::rolls eyes::

Actually remember when I attacked with mass Devourers and Gaurdians Renzokuken? About 16 corsairs were owned by my 12 Devourers, and I only lost 2.

Devourers > AA. (en masse only)

Yes because Corsairs can't handle Devs, they need Scouts and High Templars. Corsairs do own any other Zerg air unit.

why do i always hear corsairs are good AA? i mean they have like a 5 atatck, they attack kinda fast, and when en masse they are good, but my friend says they have a SMALL splash-is that right?
if we are talking about AA i think the way it should be done is not like "16 dev own 12 corsairs" it needs to be even numbers when yall do that stuff.
for example,
scout > wraith with no upgrades
goliath> scout
goliath> wraith UNCLOAKED
missle turret (1)> wraith (1)
like that... not 50 million missle turrets own 3 battle cruisers

because sairs are cheap ,fast, powerful, and builds quickly. you can't say that about most other air units. then there's d-web making them even more deadly. as a result, it is the most powerful air-to-air unit for cost in the game.

corsairs mix with scouts will own a lot. web a few turrets and have the scouts take em out. web the enemy units and have scouts attack them, when under attack by air, have scouts attack ground troops and sairs take out air units

meh, i'd rather mix sairs wit' carrs. Not to go off topic, but I don't think I would ever make scouts unless I'm messing around.

Corsair is the best... for some reason, even for it's shit damage.

I like Devourer the best... i use em along with Guards and Mutas...

Valks... nobody uses valks...

Against one single unit, no. Against more than one, or more than two, actually, it probably does Splash damage is good
