Well terran's counter to dark swarm is running away cus they're pussies. Bats are melee except they get chewed up lurkers.(which is also a counter to DS, btw)

All T can do is: A) Run away
B) Irradiate(or otherwise kill) the defilers before they can cast the spell.

Forgot about tank splash. I think that reavers do normal, but don't quote me.

no, reaver shots are individual shots, like a unit, so they're actually melee....

Reavers aren't melee, they're splash. That's why they work fine under Dark Swarm. Tanks only work if you got like twenty.

Tanks, storm and reavers. splash is useless against lurks in swarm though.

Storm isn't useless vs lurks under swarm. It's a spell. Kinda like irradiate can still kill them.

Tanks work, they treat the area like high ground, hitting like half the time.
but usually say it's your front base defense, I usually have upwards to 24 tanks there, they usually don't get through with DS.

a nuke would considerable counter it. anyone crazy enough to nuke them selfs? I am.

Firebats will work as well as lings or any other melee unit, specially if firebats or something else is being stuck under there.

Toss has plenty to counter it.

Zerg? they're as much melee as range.

reavers are great for destorying troops under the swarm..

stasis would be nice i guess

i guess plague and ensare would help. brooding might help to kill some of those lurkers.

malestorm would be very powerful since they wouldn' be able to move and you can send you lots to kill em or wait for the swarm to wear off

Firebats deal melee damage, plus they can splash damage nearby units. A tank's attack is ranged, so if it hits a unit under a swarm, it won't do anything; however, the units around the one hit will take damage from splash. Same goes for the reaver, but I'm not entirely sure whether the unit attacked by the Scarab will take any damage if it's under the swarm.

OR storm the freakin daylights out of them while maelstromed :p; hard micro but if you can pull it off, it's nice, plus you may be have a DA or two for Ultracracklings anyway, and if zerg was able to get defiler tech, then zeal/arch strom/storm are nice :D!

Actually, Yamato is a spell. It would work under swarm just like a nuke (which is a spell). But, BCs are not really a viable option for T when going against a zerg with dswarm. You'd need the gas for SV's which are much more vital than BC's and losing 1 BC would hurt a lot more than losing 1 SV to scourge.

Yamato does works, but it's for one unit only. I suppose they're better used to fire at the defilers rather than whatever is inside. Unless it's an well placed Ultralisk, that is ;)
