I know HOW to 9 pool, but when should I actually do it?

its simple, but unexpected timing...... it would be nice if you find where the opponent is before you finish making zerglings

Not to go against you in any way, but I would pretty much say never. Many seasoned players will always counter the #-pool unless your actually getting a good size amount of zerglings. But in that case the standard zvz is 12 supply then pool and gas.
