actually, hydra/ling beat goons and maybe reavers. That's why I don't build goons unless he has lurks and rarely build reavers in this mu. storms>>>>lings and hydras to lesser extent.

Zerglings are very powerful upgraded. You ever heard of crack lings?

Zerglings Upgraded > Goons upgraded

Zerglings upgraded > Hydras upgraded

Zerglings Upgraded > goliaths upgraded

Theres a lot more but if you mix lings with muta's you'll easilly have a great and cheap force.

Also, if you can micro lings... well i think you get the picture.

Yea upgraded lings are the best
1. Adrenaline (Attack uber fast)
2. Zergling fast something dono but makes run faster
3. upgrade carapace/melee attacks and they do nice damg for their speed and have not too bad def
4. You can get 6 at a time on 1 hatchery

So they are all around good for invading a base

1 of the things they are weak against is Prolly goliaths they got range damg and durability if that comes to play then just mass with overlords straight into their base. goliaths are too big to be all over the guys base.

mircoed goons as well as psi-storm owns it.

Psi storm yea of course but goons no way and anyways by the time u get enough templars with enough energy to kill all the zerglings there will be more than enough in your base unless u wanna psi storm all ur probes

Also, every noob that I fight against with Zergling, always makes hydras and always kicks my ass.

They both have strengths and weakness's. Hydras are good for anti-air,and can last alot longer when destroying enemy defense's such as colonies,bunkers, and cannons. Zerglings are meant to finish off the job once defense is gone. Fully upgraded, a Ling can do an average 16 per 1-2 seconds which is an extrodinary amound of damage. They are meant for fast and quick kill,once they breach an enemys base. 50 Minerals for 2 lings makes them cheap, and on thier own, are very fast to make. They work fairly well together. They both need eachother to win, though hydra's are better of winning alone than lings, unless you count rushes.

People win games with zerglings, which can eventually be crack lings. They're cheap, made fast, 2/p larva... I mean come on, the perfect follow-up units as well.

hydrolysks can be one of the best units in the game if you use them right.

You have to get them all (or at least a lot of them if your massing with them) to attack one thing at a time them the can be really dangerous.

I like money maps it makes me mad when I run out.
And also its easy to stop a mass attack from only one unit, because every unit has something that is strong against it

lol, when I made this post, it was 2 weeks after I had gotten Starcraft. That was a loooooonnnnnggggggg time ago. I am facinated at the fact that people still post in it.
Anyhow, when I had gotten SC, I only played Money maps. Therefore this 'Hydras are the best, not zerglings!!!!!!!!' was entended for a money map. Now I never play money maps and only play real games. I think I've improved!

noone can say hydras or zerglings are better, there are variables... it depends on terrain, micro, etc...
personally i like zerglings more

wow...I can't beilve this is still here. I made this thread a long time ago
